50-Year-Old Home Reimagined
A 50-Year-Old Legacy, Reimagined in Layers : This home, steeped in 50 years of stories and timeworn textures, was brought back to life through a thoughtfully phased renovation — honouring its roots while layering in modern-day sensibilities. At the heart of this transformation lies the parents’ bedroom, where bold indigo blue takes centre stage. A colour often associated with depth and expression, it reflects the lively and joyful spirit of the client. The bed, finished in this vibrant tone, becomes an emotional anchor for the room. To unify the design language, the wardrobe and painted cane panelswere finished in the same blue, creating a seamless, tone-on-tone visual continuity that feels cohesive yet dynamic.

Behind the bed, custom wooden rafters were introduced — not only to elegantly conceal structural columns, but also to define spatial function, separating the sleeping zone from an integrated study nook. This design element brings both warmth and architectural rhythm to the space. In contrast, the other two bedrooms embrace a more minimal and contemporary aesthetic. Here, the colour palette is toned down with soft neutrals and tactile finishes. Cushioned bed backs add a layer of comfort and understated luxury, mirroring the calm and composed disposition of the family members who inhabit these rooms.

This renovation doesn’t shout — it converses softly with its past and present. Each space tells a different story, yet together, they form a harmonious narrative of personality, functionality, and timeless style.
